hi back from hospital more confused than ever apparently the mtx is doing its job joints not inflammed anymore its the ligaments round the joints and because i couldnt move alot when joints were inflammed the ligaments have swollen so even though it hurts to move i got to move about because if i dont move it will just hurt more make sense to u i was completely baffled so i have limped round to corner shop and back and now in agony. good news is that they have reduced mtx to 20mg as the 25mg is what was making me sick and dizzy plus i now only have to have blood test ever month instead of every 2 wks yippee got to go to gp for inflammatory tabs and something to make me sleep specilist says i need to sleep to rest body hahaha hope this all makes sense to you lol :0)

hi Sharon
I know what you mean when you say coming from seeing the specialist you do not always understand what they are saying. Also it makes me laugh when they tell you to keep moving, or else things will get worse. I often think about one woman who i heard while i was waiting to see the pain consultant. She sounded as if she was getting on a bit in life, anyway the doctor who saw her. said the pain will get better if you do what ever. Well, she just let him have it. "What do you know about pain, you are a bone doctor, have you ever suffered with pain? I have never heard anyone move or mumble so quickly before. But i thought she was right. Doctors might know about the bones, joints and the body, but if they have never had Arthritis, or inflammation around the joints, i wonder if they would be as good with their own advice about moving.?

Monica gotta love that little old lady glad she gave them what for lol
Sharon sorry to hear you had a rough time at the hospital. Unfortunatly it's all to common. They don't really get how painful this insidious illness is. It's also hard to fight back when your in pain ,

I think sometimes they are like bullies at school they pick on somebody that is more vulnerable than themselves. So that they feel better about themselves. Xx
