Subject: How long does it take you to come round in a morning?

Hi all, was chatting with jill about not feeling brill in the morning.. so tired that we couldn't be bothered to get dressed till afternoon. And wondering if you have trouble in a morning. Many a time I've walked my dog with my nightie still on and a pair of track suit bottom and a top (no bra either!!) lolol. Any of you done similar. I'm not good for much untill about 2 o'clock.

I know exactly where you are all coming from. I am so stiff first thing in the morning and i have to drag my bum along the length of the bed to get to the bedroom door so i have something to hold onto, or i just loose my balance and topple over on the floor. This really worries me with having stairs as loosing my balance is getting more and more often. When i finally manage to get down stairs i make a cuppa tes and take my pain meds then have to sit down till they start kicking in a bit. Most the day is spent dragging my feet along so i don't go out much. I have a car but just getting to it from my house is too painful and awkward so i don't bother much. I know what you mean about still wearing bed clothes. If theres nobody available to go the shop and i need to go i just put some jogging bottoms on and tuck my pyjama top in them (no bra too hehe) and stick a big coat over the top, (such an attractive look, not lol). Also i'm the same with washing myself, so i just use face wipes to clean myself, unless i have a bath, but i can't pull myself out of the bath so can only have one of those if my partner is home, so he can lift me out. Tell you what i am really lazy at, or hate having to do coz it hurts and is such an effort, it's brushing my teeth. I find it such hard work as i have to move joints in awkward and sore positions and press on hard while scrubbing which hurts the imflammation in my hands, elbows n shoulders Sometimes (read most the time lol), i don't even bother to get dressed at all and just wear my pyjama's, night gown n slippers all day and then occasionally i'll look at myself and think "what a slob you are Amber, get a grip".

It really gets me down and frustrates me at times. My mind is willing but the body just isn't. I wonder how i ever managed regular 13 hour shifts on my feet all day when i worked.
But we just have to get on with it i guess, nowt else we can do. I think to myself there no way i'm letting this thing beat me but more and more often these days it is starting to.

I only just found this forum yesterday and it's nice to be able to talk to others and see others in the same position who understand and we can all have a right good moan with each other, or give any advice and tips. Seems a really friendly and coxy little place.

Take care all of you. :o)

Aaawwwhhh (((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))) emma think most of us can relate to what you say. The thing I found is that people around you can't grasp how tired and in pain you are. We look healthy enough that people think you are just plain lazy NOT. Take care
