I Sainsburys, if u park in a disabled parking space and dont show your badge, u get fined!...so that is good...stops the lazy ignorant nitwits using them that dont need it!... however, if I feel good on the odd day, I try leave the bays for others that really neeed it, especialy at the hospital

You are entitled to a blue badge if you get the Higher rate of DLA on the mobility component. Also if you have that component you can get your car tax for free as long as the car is souley used by you.

I have got a Blue Badge. All I had to do to get it was fill a form in , get a picture done , send a few pound to them and ask my Doc to confirm if they asked him, that I couldnt walk a specific distance without discomfort.
I do not get DLA.
Maybe its different rules in different counties?

lol Angela.. Sorrrryyyy about that broke my glasses so it's a little hard reading at the moment. You can really get a badge just by sending a letter from your doc.. thats brill. Have to jump through some hoops's here. I,d moved from Lancashire to here and had to send my old blue badge, and my DLA letter as well as the from etc.

I work in a GP Surgery and deal with patients claims for disabled badges - the part the GP has to complete. I have never known GP put any reason for patient not to have one. They seem to give one to anyone here in Cardiff! Good luck to anyone who decides to apply x

the policies in each area vary. Your local council issues them. you could always give them a ring and ask them to give you a form. as sas above ^ says they only need a doctor to sign the form. No harm in trying xxx
