Subject: Erythromelalgia and arthritus operation

I suffer from erythromelalgia and I am due to have an operation to fuse the bones in my foot due to my arthritis. I am interested to know if there will be any implications from my operation because I suffer from this, and also if my erythromelalgia will be effected by my operation or by my foot being in plaster for a long time.

Hi Shelly had to google that one not heard of that one before.. can't advise about your condition but I did have the op on my foot.. was told to keep my foot raised as much as possible to avoid swelling. I found that a good stratagy (sorry can't spell) is to write down all the questions on a bit of paper for when you next see your rheumy, otherwise I forget to ask him.. good luck
