Subject: Tai chi

Hi i remember someone saying they did tai chi for the arthritis sorry can't find it in the posts, well i just wondered how u had learnt it wether u went to a class, used dvds or a book to learn is it easy to learn? always wanted to try it to try and relax any info appreciated .Also does anyone use anything eles to try and relax etc.

very easy to learn they should let u go at your own pace good 4 joints and energy levels. look 4 a local class even if u only go 4 a few weeks they will teach u the basics (my mum graded quite high in it so got her to show me some of the exercises) the hardest thing is to move slow always want to move faster. give it a try libary web or sports center one of them should know of class near u good luck. give it a go it does help

EEEk Blogsy didnt know u batted for the otehr side LOL...not that thers anything wrong in that if u were....what ever floats ya boat, or lights ya candle...LOLOL... I fancy della and val already lol

Not done tai chi but have done Chi Gong which is similar but with gentler movements.. found it more suitable for my arthritis.. was incredibly relaxing too.. since I have moved I have not found a class locally ... ps blogsys right it does highten your senses.. my teacher who was chinese explained this to us when we started, never reached the Grasshopper stage of enlitenment..lol lol he he

hahah u lot do make me laugh lol ill have a look at that Chi Gong Lynne just want something gentle as cant do anything to much at the moment back is killing me today and i'm ignoring looking at my fingers as i really want the steroids to have worked this time but :( dont think it has .

Sorry to hear that Della.. I find distraction help me to cope that is untill the pain gets too much to deal with. Still do some gentle exercise, body permitting lol lol workks well tooo
