Subject: Emu Oil?

I was wondering if anyone had used Emu Oil for their Arthritis. I was reading www.emu-oil-well.com and it says on there that research has shown that it can help the pain and stiffness.

I'm tempted to buy some and find out if it works just wanted to know if any of you lot had any experience with it and if it worked.

I can't handle fish oils. They make me feel sick. I understand that they want to sell their products but from doing research elsewhere on the internet it looks like it could be a good alternative to oral medicines.

I like the fact that it is natural too. I've just bought a little pot so I'll let you know how I get on.

Right, the stuff arrived yesterday. I've been using it since last night and although I am not pain free I can pick things up!

I don't care if it is psychosomatic, this stuff is brilliant.

Val thing is, I agree with trying stufff even if its just the mind that helps usrecover, the mind is a very powerful thing, as we know, but with the utmost respect to Jess, I personally find it incredible, that the day b4 she started it, she couldnt pick stuff up, but after 24hours, she can.... sorry not intended to offend u jess, after all this forum is for debates and questions and advice, so seriously just asking How did that work after one day? it confuses me a tad, becos Y should we all be suffereing if something magic like that works in one day....If its tru, Y had Della suffered so bad lately, surely her Specialists wld know about this wonder 'cure'(said lightly)

Jill, I think it is psychosomatic and maybe I am having a good day. Pain has certainly lessened and I can only keep you all informed. When I said 'I can pick things up' I meant for an extended amount of time. I could pick up things before but only for a few seconds without wanting to cry. I spoke to my doctor today and mentioned it to him. He said he'd heard of emu oil being used for this sort of thing and that it had greatly helped his patient's RSI but he'd never had experience with it with arthritis.

And no offence taken.

Hiya Jess,
Phychosomatic or not who cares as long as you feel better.
Like Jill says the mind is a powerful thing.
I do it all the time, Anything I eat, try or do,I think it has worked.
My hubby thinks I am barmy at times but it is because I "want" to feel better, whats wrong with that.lol.

It wasn't expensive £6.95 for a 55g thing which apparently should last 6-8 weeks depending on how I use it. It's been the weekend and I'm still feeling better to psychosomatic or not I'm now a loyal emu oil well customer!

I'm glad it is a good price, I didn't think it was expensive but then I've never bought anything of this nature before.

I've just gone and spent some more I'm so weak with money! Eye cream, skin cream, Emu oil with Glucosamine (particularly good for arthritis apparently) and some lip balm.

Haven't spent a great deal either and I was surprised that with all that stuff it was still only £1.50 postage!!!

Hehe me too. I'd hate to make the emu extinct but for looking ten years younger it might be worth it. I think Emu Oil is a bi-product so the emu is going to get eaten I may as well have its anti-aging, moisturing healing oiliness!

Well I work in marketing and had a salesman call me today. He was awful, he was trying to upsell on a piece of advertising I'd already bought, I was bored by him, couldn't get a word in edgeways, he was cold and say 'yeah?' after every sentence! He was supposed to be a sales manager too.

I'm currently just taking anti-inflammatory drugs and supplements for joints and bones. Still quite new to all this.

Lynne, you know what you need. Emu oil! Great for joint pain. hehe.

I think I'm in the early diagnosing stage, thought I had RSI for years, very recently had a treatment called 'parts' it was pretty amazing. Now just sort of have a dull ache in my wrist rather than excruciating pain although there are good and bad days.

Thanks Lynne! Maybe I should charge this emu-oil-well.com commission on any sales I get them. haha!

I bought some emu oil yesterday as i have really bad knee pain at the moment. You have to warm it up a touch and use sparingly. You only need a couple of drops and rub in well. I have to agree with Jess in that i do feel some pain relief from using it.Dont get me wrong, its not complete pain relief but it helps sooth the afected area.
Oh also after rubbing the oil in i found that i could run 100 yards in 10 seconds LOL
