Subject: Osteoarthritis
Hi, I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hands, fingers. I have a problem with my right hip too and both ankles. I had key hole surgery on my right hip in 2019 to remove some bone growth etc, my hip had been making a popping sound when walking. The popping has started again now, I am waiting to see my old surgeon who carried out the earlier operation. I am thinking I have osteoarthritis in the hip and both ankles now which is scaring me....

Hi, I have osteoarthritis of my hands, especially thumb joints and I have it in my knees, hips and neck. I've had it all for a long time

Hi Sharon, Have you asked your doctor to do some blood checks? I would have thought it a bit unusual to have OA in both ankles. There are many types of arthritis and I think it is important that you get your bloods checked. If it is one of the other arthritis's that you have then there is treatment that can slow it down so I would definitely advise you to get a blood test for inflammation etc.
