Subject: Arthritis in big toes and others curled up
I have had this worsening over the years and doctors have not wanted to operate on them and now partially blocked arteries prevent it after I did find one.so it is being totally ignored The big toes are very bad and becoming quite painful with both feet very stiff and become worse as soon as getting into bed. The discomfort is worse on the right foot with and rather like restless leg syndrome and pain up into the lower shin. I have never slept all that well but this keeps me very much awake for hours. I have not taken more than paracetamolfor it and it no longer works. I have over the years taken Homeopathic remedies with some success and have some Rhus Tox and used Nat Mur on my painful knee What do any other sufferers suggest doing for it ?

Hi Derek, your GP should be able to help with a stronger pain killer that would not interfere with your other ongoing problems. I suffer with foot pain at night. I have loose fitting socks I wear when it is really bad. I have a friend that uses a soft pillow to put her feet on. There are foot supports that you could buy. I think you need an honest sit down with your GP the lack of sleep can lead to all sorts of issues. Lay your cards on the table and tell him/her that something needs to be done. No one should be cast aside to just get on with it. Good luck and I hope this helps a little bit. Take care Stay safe
