Subject: How are you Lois?

Hi Lois, not sure if you still come this site but I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are getting on. This site is not the same anymore, especially with all the people trying to sell fake diplomas. I hope all is well with you and you come on and let me know how you are. I miss the posts from Lara and the others too. It was so much better when the regular people posted, Colin, Sean, Sue, etc xx

Hi Colin, I'm doing ok thanks, I'm still on the rituximab, I still get pain but i'm managing to get about alright so I can't really complain. I booked a wee holiday online last night so we are going to the Costa del sol on Monday for 6 days, we haven't had any summer up here this year so I have to go and find some lol.

That's not so good that your not doing too well, perhaps this new biologic will be the answer, I really hope so, you deserve a break from it all.

Take care of yourself and hope things improve soon.

Hi Lucy, I have been popping in and out and the fake lot I have reported so many times. They get removed and hey ho they are back within a day or so.
I am not doing so bad. I had a carpal tunnel operation 4 weeks ago. I have been left with a painful lump but I am back for a check up on the 25th of this month. Fingers crossed it will be ok by then. Both of my hips are badly damaged but I am not bad enough for an op. So I am getting on with it the best I can.

I am glad you are doing ok and you are off on a break. I hope your family are all good.

Colin sorry to hear you are still suffering lets hope next year they will sort all your joints and as you say enjoy a better life. Hope Mrs Colin is doing good.

Well apart from having the garden out buildings broken into and hubby's ride on mower and petrol mower plus a lot of other stuff gone missing life is good. We only popped out for a meal to celebrate my daughters birthday. They came in from the farmers field. I have to say the whole village have been supportive. It was very upsetting at the time and took a bit of time to relax again.

Take care every one and stay warm. I can't believe Christmas is around the corner.

Hi Lois, Nice to hear from you again. I hope you're not in too much pain after having had the operation, the lump may settle once things start to heal but get in touch with them if you are at all worried.

That's awful that you had things stolen from the out buildings, the only consolation is that they weren't in your home, bad enough though, I hope the insurance covers it all.

Yes, the people that continue to advertise on here have a right cheek.

Time seems to go by so quickly and Christmas will be here before we know it. I'm not going to buy too much this year, I will give my daughters money, it's the gift that never gets returned lol.

Take care and keep in touch. xxx

I have to say my hand is healing very well no pain except for the lump that is painful to the touch.

We have upped the security in the garden Lights Alarms and Two locks on all outbuilding. We have 5 including the summer house so it has been costly as the insurance does not cover security. We have only replaced what we need. Some of the stuff stolen belongs to my Son so that was a bit hard for us. I have to say he is not worried about it at all This seems to be part and parcel of life now so we dusted our selves off and just got on with it all.

I have decided to give money this year. My two sons are using it for a day out with the grandchildren.

My eldest granddaughter is at Colchester University now albeit very homesick. My son is trying hard to convince her she will get used to it and life will be great. Bless her.

It is pouring down with rain and my feet are so sore. I suppose with winter here I need to get used to it again.
We are thinking about getting another dog after the new year. I miss having a dog so much. We did say no more but we both are leaning towards getting a new one.
Take care I will keep in touch xxx

guys , good to see someone back on this forum

Lucy , pleased Rituxamab still working for you , was the best biologic I been on , enbrel had bad reaction to it , golimumab I think messed my health up & why my immune system gone into overdrive & distroying all my joints , tocilizumab weebwas ok & this one only been on for 7 weeks but almost got my ulcers healed but need to reduce my weight & steriods so when ready will go on 12 week weighting list to have my hip or one of my knees replaced

lols , sorry about the break in , hope you are keeping better , as for people with hip problems , got alot more sympathy having the problems nearly 4 years ago & that causing Avascular Necrosis in my left hip

the Boss still has her mother her to care for , still cant stand or walk now & got early stages of dementia , we get carers coming in for her & night sitters but she is hard work & think would be better in full time care , but its not easy to send your mother away

guys take care

Hi Colin, not good to be broken into but we have settled sort of, plenty sleepless nights since.
My hips are painful but I am dealing with it best I can.
I hope you get sorted next year as you have been through so much.

Dementia is an awful disease my Mum is going down hill fast it is a shame as she is 92yrs. She is apart from that very fit. She is in denial and confused. Your wife will eventually like me find it all too much. My mum is now in assisted living she has a one bedroom flat and carers 24 hours a day. It has definitely improved her life being with people who are experienced to care for her. Now my time spent with Mum is quality time.

Take care Colin and best wishes to Mrs Colin.

Hi all
A happy new year to you all x
Not been on for a long while, had a busy year and had short breaks throughout the year n a few family weddings so a busy year really.
Wide awake with heartburn just now and sleep evades me most nights now so very frustrated.
Health is much the same but have definitely noticed big decline in my abilities last year. Mainly lack of energy and constantly weary. Can't walk far without stopping for a rest now. And then can't go too far. Apart from that all much the same. Haven't seen a consultant for over a year and the nurse I did see 4 months ago was useless so just me n my gp now fighting the good fight, but she's good and trying to help as much as possible.
I'm off to try find something for this heartburn as got work tomorrow so need to try and sleep.
Take care big hugs
Lara

Lovely to hear from you Lara as it has been a while and the other girls haven't been on in ages either. I know what you mean about the lack of sleep and lack of energy, I have those problems too. Are you still working full time? that will tire you if you are. I seem to remember you were working in M&S but think you went elsewhere

I'm being lazy again today as the weather isn't great here, all slushy and windy outside but thinking I should probably go and get a wee bit shopping in, i did an online shop yesterday but will be tomorrow before it's delivered.

Keep well and keep in touch xx
