Subject: Mirena IUD - yes or no?

Hi there! I'm a new poster, and hope you can help me. I have been on methotrexate for 6 months now, and seem to be (mostly) tolerating it for my RA. Due to the methotrexate, I have to be on some form of contraception. I recently went to my GP for a check up, and they recommended the mirena IUD which I got fitted last week. However, reading the information pamphlet (which was not given to me beforehand) I can see its not recommended for someone with immune system issues. I'll try and get in touch my my rheumatologist, but can anyone let me know if the mirena is okay to use? Thank you!
