Subject: Annual RA Review

Hi , I have been invited to attend an annual review at my local GP's clinic. Could someone tell me what this involves , for example what questions and tests are performed ?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone here ? I ask, as I want to be prepared and all the queries that I have, written down.
I always leave doctors appointments forgetting most of what was said, and failing to remember the things I had wanted to ask.

Mary.dont worry, they will check heart and blood pressures and maybe give you tables and statins, just a general review of your health

Hi Mary, write down any thing you want to ask your GP it is something I do.
It is probably just a check up as you have a long term illness all GP's should do this.
They do all what Colin says and usually ask if you have any worries or questions for them.
Take care and sorry for late post. x

Ive had a few of them. Ive had bloods done at one, one told my risk of having a heart attack or stroke and at one was refereed for a dexta scan, this in my opinion was only down to the fact that my father fell once and broke his hip. My last one was done to my suprise at an appointment that I had with a GP about a rash that I keep getting, my RA was hardly mentioned at all and it was 5 months before it was due. Only found out I had it when I rang about my flu jab and asked if it could be done on my next review. I think they like you to attended because they get paid to do it!
