Subject: Enbril keeping the syringe cold while traveling

Hi everyone. I use enbril prefilled syringes which need to be kept cool in the fridge. I will be traveling abroad and will need a convenient way of keeping then cool. I have in the past used a cool bag with ice packs. That won't work this time because i'm traveling around a little. I've heard that an insulin cooler call a Frio may work. Has anyone had any experience with one?

Hi Ladies, I checked out a diabetic forum on the advice of a friend re frio wallets. They are not cumbersome at all about 3inch wide by about 7inch long . According to some anecdotal evidence some one climbed a mountain and they didn,t freeze, another travelled to some where hot over100 degrees and they kept cool. I checked the frio web site and they are about £13 or if you need more meds you can buy bigger one, not much more expensive. Check out the web site. I'm hopefully off to visit family in Germany then travel with them too France. Fingers crossed.

Another thing I forgot to mention for anyone traveling with their meds. I did ring the Health care at home who dispense my meds. They told me not to put them in the suitcase in hold of the plane, unless they are in a special container because they could freeze? The the meds are not guaranteed to be viable if they get too cold or hot. Also they had not tested these Frio wallets with Enbril. yet. So they are not recomending them yet.. Wouldn't want anyone to try it without knowing the fact's as I understand them.

Jill you seem to have done yourself no harm. You said you enjoyed the holiday, perhaps the sun helped. it does with me. Not tried a Frio pouch yet but am tempted
