Subject: Flare

Not been on for a long time and have been lucky enough to have had a good 16 months of minor flares but due to a mix up with my mtx script I've been without mtx for months now. And of course my RA has taken the opportunity to kick up a fuss. My hands are mega painful, wrists, elbows and knees are constantly on fire. I remember it was bad before diagnosis but this has shocked me! Take tramadol, paracetamol, ibuprofen but not helping. Only have a shower so can't soak in a hot bath. Any advice or tips would be very much appreciated. X

Are you back on the mtx. Kirst? In the meantime you could ask for a steroid injection until it works or else you could ask for something else. x

Restarting methorexate on wednesday and on leufolomide. Nurse saw me yesterday and my recent bloods are high also has a steroid injection.

I've been getting a cracking g and clicking in my jaw so told her about it answered her questions about it etc.... I was shocked that she thinks I've got inflammation in my jaw joints!!! :( getting meds sorted can't come soon enough!
