Subject: PIP Decision
I have had PSA for over 20 years today I was told I had no mobility issues, not one point! I have difficulty every day, I'm so annoyed and angry right now. Definitely appealing!!!

hi Gaynor , how can they give you lower rate for mobility , its for people that needs help getting around & nothing to do with people with joint damage & unable to walk very far go to CAB , & appeal , you will keep the higher rate until the appeal , it comes down to how its worded , its a stupid questionare but you need to put it at its worse & they allow 20 yards/meters to be able to walk before stopping but it dont work like that & with us , you over do it & end up cant walk at all & need total rest

Thanks Colin, will try and get an appointment at CAB but they are inundated so not sure if I will be able to see someone within the time, what gets me is that DWP take the word of someone who sees you for under a hour and not your specialist who has seen you for years.

Hi Karen did you have anyone ring you from DWP to explain the decision? I have but the silly people didn't leave a message only found out today thru a letter! And of course no one there over the weekend, wanted to get letters sent off but will ring them back on Mon. Hope you hear something soon

No I just received the letter and I rang them to say I was requesting a mandatory appeal and then I got a text go say they had received my letter and would be in touch once a decision was made, that was 4 weeks ago.

I sent off the further evidence from my GP, still want to speak to them as one of the things they got wrong, was they said my toes have been infused?! When in fact I said they had been fused! Makes you wonder how medically trained they are, tried ringing yesterday was holding for 30 mins before I gave up. Did you see the Victoria Derbyshire show yesterday? That was interesting, did a segment about PIP. Has your car gone back yet, mine is going back 13/12.

The car went back last week and I then received the transition payment. The woman who assessed me said I had problems with my left knee, there's nothing wrong with my left knee and I never said there was, my right knee however requires a replacement! Also did not understand the difference between PA and RA

Thank goodness for that, how long for? I am still waiting to hear but to be honest, if they don't change the decision I don't think I will have the energy to take it to tribunal. Might still try to ring though get my thoughts across.
