Subject: Spondyloarthritis Patients with Positive CCP
Hi, I amd 43 and I have classic Spodyloarthritis symptoms (HLAb27 positive, Hip pain and pelvic edema in MRI, Knee swellign, shoulder pain, upper back stiffness) but my test shows CCP positive. Given that positive CCP antibody test correlates with Rheumatoid Arthritis (- 95% accuracy), either I have both RA and xSPA OR i a in the 5% group of xSPA patients who have positive CCP. Anyone is this foruam with similar resullts? Would love to hear

hi , just read your other post , the treatment for most arthritis is similar , the Hip problems tends to be related to back problems & pretty rare in RA , dont know that much about Spodyloarthritis but there are some on here with it , the swelling of the knee is more like RA & being positive for one test & negative for RF dont mean RA but RF can change & you can have RA with negative RF you need to be refered to a consultant as it will take time for the drugs to work & hope you feel better soon
