Hi Everyone, After unsuccessfully us sulfasalazine and later methotrexate, the doctor has recommended certolizumab Has anyone tried it? How did it work? Any side effects? Is injecting yourself easy? Alan

Hi Alan, I've had it. It didn't work for me after the initial loading dose and I think I got infections on it but then I've got bad lungs. Injecting is easy, though it takes some getting used to and you can get your practice nurse to help after the first lesson you have from the suppliers. I wish you luck with it.

Thanks. I'll let you know how I get on. I think I have to be screened for it before it's approved so it could be a while before get it.

If I remember correctly, you have to have two assessments a month apart. I've been through a few :) I hope you don't have any problems with it.

hi Alan , have you been given a choice over which Anti-Tnf to take , been on Enbrel , golimumab , Tocilizumab & now Rituximab but never on Cimzia the last two worked better than the first ones , only problem is that they give it to people who are RF positive but that may have changed

Certainly, when I was prescribed it, they had to prescribe Cimzia as instructed by PCT. This was because the drug company gave the first three months for free and they are very expensive drugs, over £10,000 a year, I'm told. How are you, Colin?
