Subject: I want to speak to people with the same problem as me systemic jia

I have been suffering with systemic JIA since I turned 16 years old, it first started in 2011 but I didn't get diagnosed until the beginning of 2012, because it had taken so long for them to diagnose me with this condition it had taken over my body and I was rushed into hospital, two days later I went into a comer and was rushed into intensive care after spending a while in intensive care I came around and had to learn to walk and things again feed my self it was an awful experience. I have nearly died 3 times because of the systemic JIA and the way that it attacks my body. I have been on all different medications from methotrexate, anikinera, ciclosporin&many more but nothing seems to keep my form stable my consultant said to me not so long ago he's never struggled so much to keep someone's athritis under control and find a medication that can keep it stable. I am now 20 years old and still suffering from it but it's only getting worse, I'm still having my major flares ups and it is still not under control just last week I was rushed straight into recusitation in the hospital after the ambulance was called to my home as my systemic JIA was flaring up & I had also got something called microphage activation syndrome which is something people with systemic JIA are likely to experience at some point. My specialist has told me I will never grow out of it now it is just the case of trying to find a medication that will keep me stable. It is so horrible and heart braking knowing the life I used to live and I can't live that life any more what I would do to be able to live my life like an ordinary 20 year old but instead I am fighting this battle day in day out. It makes it harder because I have no one who fully understands and that's the reason that I have come onto this website to see if there is any other people that suffer with the same condition who I could talk to and we could share our stories with one another I fee like speaking to someone with the same condition will make me feel less alone. So if you do have systemic JIA and would like to chat please do so :-)
