ho lois , not much has changed , still got several leg ulcers & dont seem to want to clear up , but need to clear to have something done to help me knee , but atleast they have refered me now , they tried to say I had OA in my knees , like realy , they are hot & had to drain my knee before putting a steriod injection into the joint

as for the boss , her mother is still very suffering from her stroke & is very demanding & cant see past her own needs , but people with dementia are like that & makes it hard when its a member of your own family

wish they would make up there mind what you have had all along , is it OA/PA/RA or all three along with osteoporosis , sort of questions do they realy know what they are doing , should set myself up as a consultant , take a few painkillers cause they may work & does it matter which of the 200 arthritis you have , still think if you have porosis , then chances are its all liked

take care & hope you feel better soon

I agree Colin I think PA although they say Sero Rheumatoid. It is treated the same so I suppose I should be thankful for that.

I know only to well regarding having a Mum with Dementia they are very demanding my Mum is very demanding if she wants something done she keeps mentioning it to make sure you do it right now.
It is very hard when they are your family and people don't have a clue what you are going through. The powers that be are quite happy to leave you with it. I had help for the first nine months and then told that's it we now sign your Mum over to you and we step back. What they really mean is now you can get on with it.

Your knee sounds so painful can the not do more to help with the ulcers you seem to have had them so long. It just seems everything just drags along and then a little help and then back to dragging on. I hope you can get that knee sorted soon.

Take care and best wishes to your wife and tell her she must take time out for her self once in a while it is ok to put your self first. It took me a long time to do it myself without feeling guilty. X

lol , the thought of taking some time for herself wont happen , told her to go away for a few days & lets us get on with it

but her mother wont go into respite , she cant think of anything but herself , so try not put any pressure on the boss but wish she could take some time out & worried it will get to much & take its toll

as for PA , dont matter as long as they give you some meds & start to get the help you need

I know exactly what you are saying it took me 8 years to go on holiday without my Mum. It is a difficult situation. I agree it would be hard to put pressure on but she will realise herself it isn't selfish to take time to recharge our selves. It was my brother that spelt it out to me until then I always felt guilty just leaving her to go shopping. That's women for you LOL.

I am on Sulf 3 twice a day and being reviewed next month.
Take care Colin.
