There are 200 different types of arthritis, gout being one of them. Have you asked for blood tests to check your inflammation markers? 'Popping' in knees/joints is generally osteo arthritis, I am told, though I had it in my knees from a young age and my X-rays are ok. Have you asked for X-rays or scans to look for joint damage or inflammation? I'm not sure plantar fasciitis is a symptom of RA, though I could be wrong. Dry mouth is not a symptom of RA but of Sjorgens Syndrome, which you can have alongside. Sounds like a referral to a rheumatologist might be useful to you if you can get your GP to refer you. Best of luck.

hi Billy , I would ask your surgey to do a blood test for Rheumatiod Factor , if you are positive it makes it easier to get a dignosis but some people are negitive for RF , my sister & niece are even though I am positive like the post above , there are types of arthritis & you need a consultant to realy tell you whats going on , mine started with redness & pain in a single joint (knuckle), the other symptoms could be anything , but the blood test they will do will & xrays will tell them alot more about what is going on , most arthritis is treated the same , so they may start you on drugs if they think its is a immune disorders ,
