Subject: Rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis issues
hi, my first time ever posting on a forum site. My name is Laura, i am 17. I am un diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, though show every symptom, which have progressively gotten worse over the last four months,i am waking up with a lot of stiffness and pain in my hands and fingers, particularly my thumbs, this will last the majority if not all of the day. I am struggling to hold a pen, cut vegetables, unlock the door, ect. I will be up through the night with severe pain in my knees and ankles if i have walked more than a 15 minute length in that day. the only way I can describe this pain is as though it is right in the middle of my bone, does anyone else see this as some sort of explanation for their pain? anyway, the point of this is that i have been under rheumatology since i was four, my mum has rheumatoid and lupus and has always tried to encourage an early diagnosis but my blood tests always come back negative, how do I push for a diagnosis as i am in a huge amount of pain aswell as struggling with daily activities. i do not feel like a 17 year old girl should.

Hi Laura, Sorry to hear you are suffering so much at the moment. Why have you been under a rheumatologist since you were four? Do you still see them? if not then you need to get a referral to find out what's going on with you. A rheumatologist is the only one that can tell you if you have RA or some other condition. There are lots of different types of arthritis so it could be something else that you have. I hope you feel better soon and get some answers. x

As far as I know, Laura, you can have sero negative RA and that doesn't always show up in the blood. Perhaps if you called the rheumatoid arthritis helpline they could tell you more about it and advise what to do. If you have symptoms of arthritis they shouldn't be dismissing it. I really hope you get the help that you need and deserve. x

Laura you have been cursed. You got an allergy that makes your body destroy the cartilage between the bones. What! is the substance that causes this allergy, no body, NO BODY knows. What you are under goin now is just the start .The worst starts when it comes to your shoulders. You will no be able to sleep but in an hammak as I did.If I speak in past thence because I did experiments on myself and thanks to my intelligence (yes I am very intelligent) I found the guilty substance that causes the allergy.Chlorophyll.Avoid eating drinking anything which is of green colour.consider from now on GREEN=POISON even marinated meat or perfumed soups with herbs are harmful. Only green olives, avocados are ok. It takes about three weeks in avoidance to have you body repair itself, and several months of green avoidance to be totally healed. When you get healed please informed on your turn to others. HAIK KOKORIAN
