Subject: Earrings and arthritic fingers
Hello - My mother is finding it difficult to manage the butterfly fasteners on her earrings because of the worsening arthritis in her fingers. I wonder if anyone would have any suggestions. Many thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion but I was really hoping for some way in which existing earrings could be used perhaps with a different fastener (if indeed other fasteners exist)

Have you googled? There is a gadget but it's sold in the States. There might be something available here.

When my hands are bad I just wear small studs (sleepers) and leave them in 24/7.
