Subject: I need help!!!

I have been diagnosed with RA, fibromyalgia and OA. Before I started weaning off Methotrexate (8 pills wkly) my CRP was 2.2. I was down to 6 pills and developed pain and swelling, walking very difficult. My CRP is now to 7.4 last week. My Rheumatologist thinks I'm in remission and said its only a slight increase. The pain is getting worse, I feel like the Rheum doesn't care about the pain and swelling. I am on MTX 8 pills wkly, Tramadol at bedtime and Tylenol arthritis during the day. Any advice?

hi Susie , how long you been on methotrexate ? , know there is some worrys if we are on them for 20 years or so but they can do test & think while its working to control your arthritis I would keep as is & not reduce it , talk to your rheumy nurse & tell them you want to stay on the drug

Thank you Colin W for your reply. I've been on methotrexate for about 5 years, was also on humira and diclofenac. I'm having a hard time with new Rheumy (because of ins) that thinks because all my blood work came back fine last time that I'm in remission with the RA. But wouldn't that mean the meds are working? He thinks its just Fibromyalgia that is causing all the pain and swelling. That is fine but I don't understand why he's not treating the fibro?
