Hi Jan, Sorry your question hasn't been answered before now. I had a look online and PA can sometimes cause inflammation in the eye and make it painful. If you are suffering from a sore eye I would get the doctor to have a look at it. x

Hi Jan - I knew about this and found this - regarding Uveitis - my Dad had Uveitis with his AS

"For patients with psoriatic arthritis, the risk is even higherabout 7 percent (or 70 people per 1,000) will develop uveitis. One study found that as many as 17 percent of children with psoriatic arthritis will get uveitis."

I study diet a lot and this is my view on how the eyes can be affected in autoimmune disease -

My eyes are impacted a lot by Cows Milk proteins - What happens is that the body set up anti-bodies to Bovine Casein and some of the antibodies can attack tissues and can enter the eye - in fact with Gluten (gliadin proteins) also circulating in the body can cause the blood-brain barrier can be breached.

It is not placebo or by accident that more than 20% of Autistic children improve on a gluten free, bovine casein free diet.
