Subject: pip
Hi Guys,i have been through the assessment of pip and they have given me standard mobility.I have asked them to look at my claim again has I donnot agree with no help with the daily living component of the pip.I got 7 points, when you need 8.I have RA and fybro and afew other problems, but im trying to keep this short. My husband and daughter are a great help to me.I was told I could use a slotted spoon and I should be able to do meals etc independently,to be honest I feel quite insulted by this remark.Turning food in a pan causes pain and I need to stop to rest them and writing etc.My husband and daughter assist, but I got 0 points for this.Anyway I am wondering wheather to appeal or not.I got standard living when I was on dla and high mobility.I would love to hear your thoughts and advise,it would be much appreciated.xx

hi Sarah , dont understand why they would not give you higher mobility , the standard one is for people how need someone with them when they are out you need to get help from CAB or someone like that to help with your appeal , & need to do it pretty quick , they will know where you stand on everything ,

sarah , do you know what you put down on the forms for getting around , 20 - 50 meters is the standard rate 1 - 20 is the higher rate , if you put more than 20 meters then dont think you have a chance but would still talk to CAB
