Subject: Help please I need advice

I'll start from the beginning.

I'm 5ft 1 and very petite

On March 19th (5months ago) I was crushed in a gig. This happened as I was making my way through the middle of the crowd (in my stupidity as it was an old school punk band, majority of fans fully grown Middle aged men.) with for some reason, my left hand outstretched ahead of me. As I was making my way through ,the crowd on either side of me, sort of seperated and started jumping in different directions to different rhythms. On my left side I was jolted forward, on my right side I was bashed back,

Since then I have made countless visits to A&E and my GP, resulting in only a chest xray which came back normal.
Had three appointments with an osteopath, after which my symptoms were apparently to completely disappear, when in fact they are now worse,
I had my first appointment with my physio last week but am stressed out my box as nobody is telling me anything.

I'll post my symptoms below.

Symptoms

Neck (can't turn it for any amount of time)
Back (lower and upper)

Breastbone, upper abdomen
Under left arm, left rib cage

Hi Em, Have you had blood tests? If not I think you would see your GP and request them and see if there is any inflammation going on.

I'm not sure what is going on with you but you need to get some checks done.

Good luck x

I had blood tests done a couple months ago, not sure if they were related to my breathing difficulties or the injury though.

I saw my physio yesterday and she told me all my muscles are incredibly tight and that my posture is bad (the same as my osteo but neither have told me why). Said I'm too sore to do anything just now so I've been given a couple of exercises and to go back in a month.

I have an appointment with my doc on Wednesday so will say about blood tests then.

Thank you Locy,

Hi Em, That is reassuring if bloods are normal but it must be very frustrating trying to find out what's going on. I hope you get some satisfaction at the GP's appointment.

Let us know how you get on. xx

Hi Em,

Not sure if the NHS do it but many if your symptoms tie up with Magnesium deficiency - do you take any supplements at the moment?

Magnesium is linked to thyroid - hence perhaps neck issues lumps and other symptoms like diziness. Hopefully doc will be able to advise!?

Headaches! Magnesium..

Tiredness - twitching muscles, heart palpitations - all tie up.

Try changes to your diet too - magnesium absorption can be linked to food intolerence. Hence stomach issues. Trauma from accidents can make changes in the gut leading to other conditions.

Magnesium was one of he supplements that changed my life 23 years ago - along with diet changes.

Magniesium also relaxes and help you cope - but get expert advice as it needs it be balanced. I take a supplement that is Mag21Cal (2 parts magnesium citrate to 1 part calcium).

Hope you get answers you need!

Em - are you taking Calcium supplements - as without enough magnesium these can cause a magnesium - and by extension a vitamin D deficiency.

Sean-

I'm not on any supplements atm should be taking my multivits but hard to get into the habit.

I had a total diet overhaul about three months ago n became veggie. I don't drink milk or eat eggs either, but I do eat a lotttta cheese.

Could any of this contribute to that?

Lucy - saw an out of hours doctor and they gave me diclofenac 50mg (he couldn't help me any further) and I got the times mixed up for the appointment with my doctor AGAIN, soooo I have to wait until Monday now :( I feel about sixty.

Xx

Hi em,

Any change of diet will cause upheaval in the balance of the gut bacteria.

There is a lot of evidence coming to light that your gut bacteria interact with you genes to determine your health and disease.

It's called EPIGENETICS.

You may have other reasons for wanting to go veggie - but my personal view is that your recent flare up could be related.

You would probably be disgusted by my advice of higher fat, low carbs, no wheat or other grains except rice, no cows milk.

I've been low carb last 2 days and I feel great - but I do have eggs. And the almost did include a small amount f dark G&B chocolate! 😄 Hardest meal is breakfast - I tend to have a Naked (raw food) bar most days - but they are expensive.

Hey Sean,

Honestly me becoming veggie didn't even really feel like a conscious choice. I watched a couple of documentaries and ever since have just been sickened by meat - I'm overly aware I am eating flesh.

I dont even know what I would eat if I were to try that lol but would be willing to give it a go - will do some research.

I'm glad you're feeling great! I do enjoy the naked food bars but yes they are expensive and my financial situation atm could not support one every morning haha!

Thank you again, have a lovely day.

Hey again guys, hope you are well!

I'm just looking for some more advice cause I can't get on any of the helplines and my doctor hasn't called me back.

I'm currently in excruciating pain it seems around my whole skeleton, especially chest, back and neck area. This has happened quite a few times but normally it only lasts a couple of hours, today it's been here since I woke up at 9 and it's now almost 5pm. I did the very few small exercises my physio gave me yesterday and don't know if this could have caused it?

I don't know if you guys will even have any answers I just don't know where else to turn right now and I can't bear this pain.

Again, I hope you guys are doing alright
Em xx
