That's sods law, Lorraine. Have you to go to them or do they come to your home? Show them the medications that you take and tell them how bad it gets. Good luck x

Hi Lorraine, it's a bit like a toothache it disappears at the sign of a dentist.
Just be honest tell them how bad you are on your worst day. I wish you luck. Lets us know how you get on.
Take Care.

That's ridiculous, they should have came to you. Good luck with it, such a shame you have to go though that. Let us know how it goes, no doubt I will have to go through it too soon.

HI Lorraine, I've a PIP assessment this Tuesday (12th), they've already stopped my I ncapacity benefit, that's going to tribunal a week after this, (19th), I find it a total sham, nobody's approached my doctors for any information, I'm supposed to supply it all, then in 45 mins a complete stranger makes an 'assessment', I have also a one hour drive to get there, no help, I won't tell them I drove there, they'll penalise me for that, or how far I've had to walk, their underhanded treatment of people in I'll health reflects the policies of this government, who's only interest is in scraping back from the poor and needy the masses of money the banks squandered, it's all about money, I'll chase these 'people' to the House of Lords if needs be, best of luck, barry

Thanks sleek fox, trouble was traffic, parking, finding the place, physically getting there, these people can be sneaky about how easy I possibly managed it, did I have far to walk, my ESA assessment they tried to catch me out like that, even though I loaded myself with tramadol, and made a real effort, but these people were much more considerate, much more helpful, next week I have a tribunal, they stopped my incapacity benefit in January,, I'm going to fight that decision all the way, I was only on the basic, a previous assessment they booked me off for 5years, this time round they said I was fit for work, all in 45 mins, never consulted my doctors, and I've heaps more health issues now.. I worked for 40 years, I officially retire in 2, all my stamps paid up, now they've cut me off without a penny, well, we'll see about that, my heart goes out to all those out there who have lost their benefits through this corrupt scheme, and this government maintains its a people's government, correct, but only for a select few, barry

Lorraine, that's brilliant, good for you, I had a tribunal last week for ESA! And they awarded that in my favour, I'm more than happy too say, plus a PIP assessment before that, but I don't feel I'm entitled to that, I'm happy with my lot again, as it was, just seems all wrong we have to go through this, surely our doctors can supply the relevant information to these people, instead of us having to get it right on the day, best of, barry

hi Sally , yes , ask to change it & tell them its because you will find it dificult to get there using public transport at that time , we had a appeal & they arranged it 40 miles away when the closest was only 15 miles away ,

get someone to go with you to the assesment & maybe get it recorded even if its on a phone , the doctors will put down what they think & not what you say , if you end up going to appeal you will have more evidence & check out the points system they use to award PIP
