Subject: Excercise?
Hi all I've gained some weight recently and need to shift it but scared to start excercise....I've not worked out since I got RA 6 years ago as pain was always on/off and didn't really feel up to it, but now I really need to! Just wanted to see if any of you had any advise on what works for you; not sure what is RA friendly?

Hi Helen, there are a couple of things you could ask for from your consultant and that is a referral to hydrotherapy and, secondly, a referral to physio. Hydrotherapy is a great way to get started. Physios can all recommend exercises and give you ones you can do safely. I have done both as I am trying to get fitter.
