Subject: Ignore posts about new books

Looking at one of the recent " I have a new book" posts, can I suggest in future that no one responds to them. I have arthritis and I don't come on here to read garbage about religious twoddle and silly books that claim to contain the cure for every disease known to mankind. If no one comments, then the subject will be pushed down and the so called author wont get any free publicity.

Very true, Jenny. Alternatively, you can report them. There is an email address on home page and the forum host will take them down.

I think the subject matter on the other post needs to be reported by everyone, as it has now got out of hand. Thanks bsk, I didn't know about the email address on the home page.

BSk I tried the e-mail but I am only getting an error message each time I try. I love banter and a good discussion but the thread has gone way to far.

I don't really know what the fuss is about. If there are posts that you don't like then just ignore them, you don't have to read them, Jenny.
I think we are all adult enough to know not to believe someone that claims to be able cure everything and if anyone wants to buy their book then it's up to them and yes, they shouldn't advertise on here. Sean was good enough to inform everyone of his findings and if people want to talk religion then best ignore them.

I have Read the posts Jenny but I don't think it's worth getting upset about, we all have enough to contend with. You are right in saying best to ignore those posts, perhaps if we do they will go away and this forum is definitely not the place for talking about religion, religion and politics is a NO NO. Perhaps Art was taking the p... a bit

Rhona I have friends in the forces and I am aware like most of us what is happening in this big scary world at the moment. Yes, we as arthritics do have enough to contend with already and that is why it pisses me off when idiots come on here spewing nonsense. Maybe Im being over sensitive but if things are ignored then things get out of control. Maybe I need a drink, it is Friday.

Lol, Jenny, I am sitting here having a glass of wine at the moment, so please join me in one. Don't let them get to you, it annoys me too, in fact I feel sick when I read of what's happening in some parts of the world and I fully agree with you there. Have a good weekend. x
