Subject: foot pain with ra

Hello everyone.
Been getting progressively more pain everywhere really. Particularly hands and feet.
I was just wondering does anybody get pain running along the outside of there foot, the outer side.
Feels like I should be seeing a huge bruise but I've not hit it.
Even tender if I lay on my side and it touches the bed. Driving me mad.
I'm used to the throbbing feeling on the soles if my feet. Almost always have the feeling that if have been standing for hours and my feet are exhausted but this Is different.
Many thanks in advance xx

Hi Toni, mine are the same. Feel like they're getting worse. Pain goes all the way down, from ankle to little toe.. been to the podiatrist who gave me insoles, but don't like em.. feet feel worse. Yes, even in bed, its awful. So you're not alone.

Thanks for the the reply. I thought I had something else going on so I'm glad I'm not alone.
Honestly feels like I had dropped something on the side of my foot.
Always something new. Still learning xx

Know what you mean.. last week I had pain in my calf.. then it went as quick as it came. I thought I was the only one, thinking I have something else. There's always something! Every bone feels tender to the touch. People don't realise.
Anyway, this forum helps. Xx

It really does.
Whenever something new happens I always pop on and have a look at what others have written.
Thought I had broken my wrist about about month ago.
Couldn't bend it or touch it about all.
Started on the Saturday morning. Thought it for its this bad still Monday I will go to a and e
Woke up Monday and it was like it had never been there. Two days of agony then gone.
My other half thought it had been putting it on.
Had a pea size lump appear in that spot about a week later which really hurt. Even up my thumb and arm.
9 days later it had gone.
This disease really messes with your mind !!!

It does doesn't it. Something different every week. Very frustrating too. I feel like a hyperchondriac at times. Am sure my hubby thinks that at times.lol

As the pain is never in one place for long I'm always surprise when It turns up somewhere else.
For example. Your Hands feel ok, then you go and pick up little one and pain shoots up your wrist. I yelp and other half looks at me like I'm crazy and says nothing.
He actually called me a hyperchondriac the other week.
Wish I was. Lol xx

Yeah, least there'd be no pain! I turned the wheel of the car the other day, and all of a sudden my finger felt like it had jumped out of the joint! Very odd.

My feet get really bad though I had the added complications of recurrent plantar fasciitis and fluid, been a nightmare with the heat this summer.

Podiatry have been good, took off both sides of both big toenails as they were going involuted and ingrowing and help me keep the others down as they cause issues to and I can't bend very well so not wise with a sharp implement! :)

They have given me special insoles too and advised on footwear.

I've got bursitis and edema in the front of my foot too from the RA so am very careful abut my footwear and got good advice from podiatry. Physio and hydrotherapist have also helped with some exercises.

I never knew you could get bursitis there. I have It in both hips so I know how painful it is.
Must be horrible there.
Just tonight started getting the feeling I'm standing on a shoe lace or something again. In both feet this time.
In fact got a load of aching throbbing joints tonight. Bit worried.
We are taking the kids away for a few days in the morning and i don't want to be ill on there first holiday xx
