hi everyone thank you for your kind messages, colin and bsk, I have to wear a half cast on the elbow side of my arm for 5 weeks, and take the bandages off 3 times a day, so I can try and get the elbow working, but im in a lot of pain with it, this will sound mad, but it feel's like a realy bad toothache, its throbbing like mad, im taking 2 lots of pain killers, I guess in a few days I will feel better , when it all settles down xx

Oh God, Sue sounds soo painful and keeping the cast on for 5 weeks doesn't seem very comfortable at all. I'm really worried about getting mine done now as both my elbows hurt. Oh I really hope the pain subsides and you start to feel comfortable and start using the new joint.

Take care xx

Always better to be out of hospital than in. Less chance of infection.

hi emm,
im pleased I was home the next day, I think you pick up all sorts of germs in hospital, its 3 weeks now since the op, I'm still a little sore and the cast is off more than on as it drives me mad, but i have good movement now and healed up nicely
