Subject: Symptoms
Hello. I am new to this board. I do not have an official diagnosis, but I am wondering if I may have arthritis. For the past few months, all my body joints ache. My knees make popping noises and they are extremely stiff especially after I have been off of my feet for a while and I initially stand up. Some days I have difficulty walking due to my knees. I was curious what symptoms other people have with their arthritis.

Hi Lynn, I was diagnosed on fri with RA, for 11 week I have struggled to walk, lift a kettle, dress myself and my kids, basically struggled with everyday tasks. I went to the GP who done full bloods and my rhumatoid factor came back inconclusive so they routinely referred me to a rhumatologist. I was so bad two week ago my 10 year old and 6 year old were undressing me and showering me, quite a low point In my life I must admit. I had to ring the hospital and beg for an earlier appt which they gave me, they were wonderful. I have to start on mtx and hydrochloroquine on Monday, I'm relieved but also scared as to what the meds will do, side effects and such like. I'm 34, work as a dental nurse with 2 young kids, my husband and kids have been amazing but it has been a scary life changing 3 month. I would def ask for blood tests. I hope you get sorted soon cos if it is it knocks you off your feet so sooner the better. Take care xx
