Subject: for emm/knee up date
Hi Emm went to knee clinic today said i was doing really well i have been doing without my walking stick for 3days but getting some pain nurse said to still use the stick every other day and not to try and rush it it takes up to 18mths to heal and every day it will improve but take it easy. I am still on my methotrexate been on it 6weeks now just feeling a bit sick very tired , not enjoying my food but will be happy if it stays like this. How are you lol

Thanks for the update, lol. It's going well for you, that's good. I didn't know it took as long as 18 months to totally recover though. Well done. It's really good of you to let me know your experience. I had an MRI of my ankle on easter Monday as the knee doctor thought I should maybe sort that out before the knees. The whole process takes so long. I see an ankle surgeon on May7th, so will let you know how that goes. I hope you get some relief from The Methatrexate. That is what I take too. Hi lol, I have been on them for over 10 years, but only 10mg a week. I don't think they work for me any more. I have, over the last two years got extra damage. One finger distorted and the ankle problem. I tried leflunomide about two years ago but had aweful side effects from them. So just went back on the meth' I just thought better the devil you know. I wish I could try the bios but have explained before that dr said they lower the immune system even more and I already get loads of chest infections. Take care. X
