Subject: still no meds given. is it normal??

hi not been on here for long time. having rubbish time with other health issues. my rhymatologist says hes concentrating on my fibro as whole body has become stiff with tight muscles. iv tried sulpha mtx and leflumimide all given nasty side effects. my neck shoulders hands wrist feet are getting worse but havent another appt till sept with him although im starting intence physio nxt wk and physio man will spk to consultant every 6wks to see how im
managing with movement and pain. im struggling with grip both hands. im constantly tired/fatigue im not having any blood tests or not been told to have any. its as if PSA is now being ignored.thanks for reading. hope you are all keeping well.ish xx

That doesn't sound good, Helen. I wouldn't accept that. Could you ask for a referral to another consultant? It's not as difficult as it sounds, you can contact the head of rheumy department and ask for a transfer. (did it myself recently for not dissimilar reasons.)

Think I might do that. There's only two in our area and iv heard good things about the other one. Just feel that he's put me thru so much with the tablets and me having many side effects and steroids and now that's it. Iv also got pain on my hip/bum cheek when spoke to the registra she's saying or thinking its pockets off?? She was thinking burritis and said she could give me an injection now he's took over from her he's dismissing what she was gonna do for me. If he had seen me two years ago instead of me seeing registra and clinic nurses maybe I couldv been sorted by now.
Hope your having a good easter weekend. Wev had lovely weather and today's is awful rain.
