Hi Sharon My AS has affected my neck and the muscles around the shoulders. I have a very clicky and crunchy feeling in my neck in my spine and down the sidess of my neck some of the time - but rarely sore these days. If it gets stiff then I find olbas oil as used for cold great and a high powered shower to massage and getting the blood circulating. Hope you dont mind me asking but is is it just your neck?

Hiya, Just found this forum.. I have just been officially diagnosed with cervical and thoracic arthritis a few months ago. Has been slowly developing over the last few years and was getting increasing worse both pain wise and symptom wise over last 6 months.. Been a nightmare to find the right pain medicine for me that doesn't totally make me feel drugged, sluggish. Finally tried Tramadol 50mg up to 4 times a day.. Must say that although it doesn't get rid of the pain, symptoms it does make it not quite as painful and doesn't leave me feeling completely drugged/sluggish, so for me its been the only thing that makes it somewhat tolerable. The Tramadol has also made it a bit easier for me to sleep. Nice to have found this forum .
