Subject: Raised RF

Hi there,
Can psoriatic arthiritis cause a raised RF factor or is it generally just RA that does this please?

Hi Anne, I had a look online about this and according to the National Psoriasis Foundation it says the RA factor is not usually found in psoriatic arthritis. Perhaps someone else could offer more information on this. x

hi Anne , Rheumatoid factor may also be elevated in other illnesses & about in 5-10% of healthy persons, especially the elderly.
