Subject: pip joint lump
I have a lump ( along with everything else ) it appeared when my pain was really bad over xmas, any way question is, I have my rumatology referral my appointment is begining of April, thing is iv noticed that the lump on side of pip joint middle finger left hand is numb and when I touch it it feels like I'm pushing a nerve?? Is this normal, do you think I can wait and tell rumatologist or do you think I should tell the doc, (only worried about long term possible?? Or not?? damage??) Any one have this? Xx

Hi Mum, I have OA and have several lumps on my Dips and Pips. They do feel numb and can be painful. After a while you will forget they are there. They are painful if you knock them. If you are concerned talk to your Gp that's what they are there for. It is all a worry when something different happens. Try not to worry and take care hope this helps xx
