hi emm i had rhematoid arthritis for years and reason for my knee replacement i had osteoarthritis in my knee 6 mths ago i started with really bad pains in my hands and wrists rummy sent me for blood tests and came back i had inflammatory arthritis which they said it attacks your own immune system. and i would have to go on one of these tablets for it this is where the trouble started i have really bad side effects with them i am on sulfasalazine been on and off this for a few mths all different side effects each time started back last sun had to come off them for my op feeling sick but trying to stick it out to see if it will pass. they want to put me on metatrexatine but i have said no. they are trying to bully me in to going on it but have made up my mind. do you have osteoarthritis in your knee its the most common for knees. hope you don't mind me asking how old are you I am 62 this year x

Lol, I wrote on another post but am giving you news of my surgeon appntmt, incase you don't read the other,.

A lovely man who you could talk to, which helps, we discussed everything and we agreed my ankle is worst at the moment, but he does not do ankles, so is getting me an appointment with a colleague.

He is seeing me again in 2 months though, because if I get ankle help, I can have my knees done.

SO waiting again, but taking more steroids to help.

Not what I want but it is that or sit and rot and am not ready for that yet!

How are you doing this week! Had any more walks out doors.
Is it getting easier and has the horrible pain gone?

Looking forward to hearing about it all.
Emm x
