hi tracey

http://www.nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoid_arthritis/newly_diagnosed/which_drugs_are_used/antitnfa_treatment_in_rheumatoid_arthritis.aspx

the treatment for PaS & RA are the same , alot of us take anti-tnf drugs & its not always easy to get one that works for you , the link above list all the drugs & the one I take is Golimumab (Simponi) but think they will change it soon

your CRP was very high & even at 23 is still pretty high , mine last month was 26 & the reason they thinking of changing it , just go for it & you may be very luck & find something that works

Hi Tracey, I started on medications for RA about thirteen years ago, and over the last couple of years have been on Enbrel and now rituximab. It is a worry taking drugs but they will monitor you closely when on them and if you have any side effects then you can stop them but they have been a great help to a lot of people. If you are worried about starting them then it is important that you speak to your rheumy nurse or consultant and tell them your fears. I managed on mtx etc for years before going into the anti-tnf's but do speak to them more about it and decide what is best for you.

Good luck. x
