Subject: I apologise, but I've got a daft question.
Since starting with pain in Sept, I've been very very lucky to have been diagnosed quickly with IA. My beloved hubby thinks that I have a low pain threshold. I'm not so sure though. My question is, will my pain get worse?

hi Rachael everyone's pain is different. your question is like asking how long is the piece of string - i'm not mocking you as i had the same question! yes is the answer or maybe no :) Some days may seem worse than others, whether that means the pain is worse depends on how you are. The more pain I get the more weary it makes me and just wears me down so if I feel 'more' pain the next day/s then it feels worse - whether it is worse or just feels like that is irrelevant really. Pain is pain is pain and Arthur is a major pain. I don't mean to sound horrible to your husband but unless he has suffered this then he doesn't really know the pain you feel and it's not about your pain threshold it just hurts full stop - mildly, strongly etc - everyday feels different. Possibly when you 'get use to' pain if it is constant then you may begin to tolerate it more and your pain threshold goes up therefore. Hope your medication is sorted and you get some respite and time away from pain. xx
