Hi Laura, I am wating for a date to have a minor operation to have my carel tunnel cut to release the nerve ... Mine started with cramping and pins and needles ..progressed to pain from my shoulder, down my arm into my hand ...I now have very little use of my hand, muscle wastage in my arm and my arm feels like its made of lead .. I've had steroids and cortisone injections - non of which have worked ... I ignored the symptoms for ages as I think most of us do when we get used to living with these diseases ... Dont make the same mistake as me and see someone asap .... Good luck xx

Hi Laura ...I didnt mean to worry you - I just think its something you should have checked !! ...I put up with pins + needles for months before I did anything about it .... I think its really common in RA ...probably different for everyone ! X

Hi Laura - I have had wrist / tendon issues - where I struggled to open tight jars or carve meat - with my finger joints tightening and cramping in painful spasm. As well as our normal inflammation - malabsorption of minerals can play a huge role. I have taken a manganese supplement for many years to counter my wrist / tendon - and sole of foot pains. Google - " manganese carpal" and seek out articles that you trust.
