Subject: Constant itching all over

Hi everyone this may sound silly I have ra and I'm currently on leflunomide, humira and been on steroids for 8 weeks but decreasing my dosage as I have to come off them because this should cover me from a flare as I have to come off humira to go onto a new drug called abatacept, but for last week I have been scratching my arms, legs and back all the time, now I have bruised myself everywhere, i have to get up in the night so I stop scratching its worse when I get warm. Any advice or if anyone has had this, would be greatly appreciated for advice.Take care everyone . Emma x

i do remember scratching for a while emma - as bsk says call the rheumy
it may be allergic reaction to one of the meds or a side effect

emma
just realised from reading your post that the itching could be side effect from humira - i'm so stupid sometimes
when i was first taking it the nurse that came out to show me how to do it - she said - take an anti histamine the day before if needs be as you may get itching - i've done this a few times since as yes - i did get slight itch feeling
so the docs anti histamine may work for you. I hope it does

hi I tend to itch a lot when i get hot, so during the summer take antihistamine and it keeps the itching at bay, without it I could scratch my self silly, ive always been the same.
