Subject: Simponi v Humira?
Hi After trying MTX, Leflunomide and Sulphasalazine, all of which gave me terrible side effects, i saw my rheumatologist today, I had two injections in my lower back and she is going to start me on either Sinponi or Humira, I have to decide and let the nurse know which one i prefer! I have done my research but not sure which one to go for, has anyone been on these? It will be a fortnightly injection which I will do myself eek! But to be honest I don't mind if it helps with this awful pain.

I forgot to say I have psoriatic athritis. But never had a skin problem

hi Debbie I am on Simponi & after 7 months its starting to work for me & my CRP is now 3.9 , most people get very good results with it & if you have PsA you dont need to take MTX with it like those of us with RA but taken it long time & dont have any side effects now never tried Humira so cant help you there , if you had injection reaction to Enbrel which is common you wont get it with Simponi

I have injected humira it was easy to inject especially when your in pain but it didn't have much of an effect on my psa. I am injecting my first simponi tomorrow and will happily let you know if I have a response. Am also on 2000mg sulf. Fingers crossed for those who can :-)

Karen , I was on 50mg for 4 months & then they increased it to 100mg & now its working pretty well , gl for tomorrow & hope it works for you
