hi Suz , I have had problems for several years with my legs

the things I found that works is a V3 Circulation Booster , it helps the circulation + very good with feet/ankle pains because its a TENS machine for feet

the only thing I found that clears up leg ulcers is Medical Grade Manuka Honey , if you had it 9 months & still not cleared up I would give it a try

I heard something on the radio (radio 4) about leg ulcers and how people with them should be referred to a Venous specialist asap. Apparently, they can get on top of them very quickly with the right treatment. I would go back to your GP and ask for one.

p.s if you google 'leg ulcer referral' and your health authority, you might find guidelines for referral, with which you can go armed to your gp with!

Thank you both your advice I greatly appreciate it. Thanks colin for mentioning the Circulation Booster I bought one but being very reluctant to use it for some reason.

Bsk That's something I haven't heard of venous specialist. I mean why don't our gp's mention this.

Suz , the leg Ulcers you get with RA are caused by bad cirulation , our legs swell with fluid & because of lack of mobility it builds up at the bottom of our legs/ankles , the cirulation boaster works by making our muscles in our calf work & pump the fluid around , the fack its a TENS m/c & helps the pain around my feet/ankles is just a very nice bonus

what bsk said would help , they should do scans on your vains in your leg anyway

I think it is something that specialists are trying to make gps more aware of. I heard this programme on radio 4. I'm sure if you do a search, you will be able to find it as there aren't that many medical programmes on there. You can listen again perhaps.
