Hi Ann, I am having my 3rd course of rituximab next week. Before I got it I could hardly move. I agree the side effects can be worrying, especially the rare brain disease but I have been told no one in Britain has suffered from it. All medication has side effects but I think you have to weigh up how bad you feel and I know at the time I would have taken anything to help with the pain. I have found rituximab to be really helpful as I can now get around, it has really given me my life back. Good luck with the infusion.

Hi Ann, It took 4 months before it started working although some people get benefits much quicker. I was really bad before I got it, I could hardly walk and I even needed help getting off a chair. I am so much better now, I can walk up stairs fine now although I find it harder coming down and often still come down one at a time. Thankfully I don't have stairs inside my house. I still get pain and my ankles and feet still get sore but I am so much better than I was.
