Hi Helen, the steroid injections are different for us all. You should feel some benefit in the first week at least.
If you google fibromylargia all the symptoms should be there. I don't know anything about the problems with it apart from it is very painful.
I hope the steroid injection helps soon.
Take care X

Hi Helen

agree with marlene but think you should have felt some benefit by now , realy would not worry to much about the fibromyalgia , those of us with RA get flu like symptoms & expect PsA will be similar & its also same with CFS/Fibromyalia , my son had it since he was 12 , just try & not get to stiff , hydropool & things like that will help & same things will help your arthritis

if you still have problems with your ears get your GP to look at it

Hey Helen,
I feel for you honey.
Just to clarify, is the steroid injection is for psoriatic arthritis?
Do you also have P?

Many thanks for replys. I had the steroid jab last Wednesday and actually I'm doing quite good. My knees and feet are feeling like new once i get going. Had a full day yesterday and I felt pleased that I was doing things I hadn't done for mths. Fybromylagia is a strange thing and yes symtoms does sound like flu symptoms not that iv ever had flu. My body is an ache I'm also so tired. I'm taking each day at a time I'm learning to slow down and not be the all or nothing girl!

Chris the steroid injection was for psoriatic arthritis and its helping. Do you have this type of arthritis??

Glad to hear the injections worked.
Yes, Helen, i do. Hands, feet and neck, although do to recent complications with MTx a recent flare has also upset my shoulders/spine... ergh feels like everywhere!

I was wondering how the steroid injection worked with your skin? (If you have Psoriasis that is?)

My GP has suggested a steroid injection for my shoulder, but i've resisted as i don't want any 'flashback' effects on the skin.

Chris. Yes I do have psoriasis and have done since I was 10 im now 47. Last year I had a big flare up with spots then the painful joints. Steroid tablets helped last year with the spots. I had been on mtx for six mths but had some side effects so stopped for 6wks. Within those 6wks spots started to come back. Now back on mtx steroid injection as knees feet was suffering and so was I. Steroid has improved my spots and my joints let's hope I get a few more wks like this one. I would certainly consider a jab or the tablet form of steroids. Everybody needs a break!!
