Subject: embrel

hi all its been months since iv been in the forum but just wanted to say iv had my first injection of embrel today and have to say its a lot easier to do than the others iv been on, (Cimzia & metajet) so hopefully things are going to get better soon, my pain is getting worse and i feel so low it seems like iv been having a flare for the last 12 months and it just keeps moving all around my body, im 41 now and cant see me lasting much long in the job im doing as i work 45 hours a week for greggs. i love my job and its getting me down that i have become dependant on others to help me with day to day living, sorry to have a moan but im just so sad all the time lately iv really had enough :(((

Hi Suze, I hope the Enbrel works for you and it kicks in soon. That is a lot of hours you are working and I would imagine it is pretty hard work at Greggs, could you not cut down on your hours, at least until you feel better? It does make you feel low when your pain is bad and I hated depending on others too last year when I was bad but I bet you are like me and if anyone was needing help then you would be the first to help them. I have always said I would make a better nurse than a patient. Take care and I hope you feel better soon. x

Hi Suze, give the Enbrel a chance to work, you might find it helps a lot. I couldn't work the hours you do because I get so tired and still had problems on the enbrel (now off it.) Maybe you could delegate some of the more physical jobs and build in some rest time to your day. You are the manager after all :)
