Subject: does anyone know what i could claim?

HI
I wonder if anyone can help as the job centre have been very vague when I've asked ....I've just been awarded high rate mobility and middle rate care dla ...at the moment I work part time and my hubby works full time (he was 65 last year but has deferred his pension as we couldn't afford to survive without his wage)...my hubby wants me to leave work as he feels that I shouldn't be working due to how much I struggle with my RA (I admit im starting to find it really difficult and end up in tears on a regular basis)I'm so worried that if I hand my notice in that I wont be able to claim anything ...I really don't know where to ask (our local CAB office is closed at the moment)I just don't know how long we can carry on like this - me with poor health and my hubby with his age ...I feel like I am being so unfair on him as he feels that he cant retire because I cant work full time to try and make up the money to a liveable amount ...you see it on the news and read it in the papers every day how scroungers claim thousands a year ...all the job centre have told me that I'd be entitled to is £78 a week ...Help !!

hi Sandy , you can claim ESA & should be in the support group which is about £115 + your husband could claim carers allowance because of your DLA middle rate care

cant help you much more than that , if you go for ESA get some help filling the forms in , if you got paper work you done for DLA then that will help
