Subject: New to this forum.
Hello All, Just found this forum and have been reading through various posts. I never realised so many people suffered from this disease. Just been diagnosed as having Osteoarthritis at the base of my thumbs. A bit of a blow to say the least since..of all things...I am a self employed motor vehicle mechanic..! My doctor has advised me of the fact that I have, after 40 years in the trade, worn my hands out. Am having problems operating a zip never mind a spanner. Have been signed off work for a month and been given anti inflammatory analgesic tablets. Fingers crossed will have to wait and see how it goes. Regards to all...Luke.
