Subject: Have you heard of a new drug called metoject for RA

i would appreciate any info as my friend says it is approved specially for RA.

Hi Mary,

I think Metoject is a name for methotrexate prefilled syringes. I think it is just giving people an easier way of having their methotrexate injections - this way they can do it for themselves. I haven't heard of anyone on it though. I know someone who had methotrexate injections for their arthritis but she goes up to the hospital to have them.

Hi, I think I am one of the lucky ones as I have Metoject injections which I do myself at home. It is quick and easy to do. It is considered better than the tablets as it goes straight in (obviously) but when taken orally, apparently the absorption rate between patients is different so the injections are better.
