Subject: Does RA create major arguments between partners

I have been going out with a young women for nearly 2 years, she is so loving and helpfull, She has RA in her feet and very often gets huge flair ups. Over the last 3 weeks our relationship has hit a low, I seem to be "getting it wrong" I seem to step over the threshold into the argument zone for so little things, these things to me are so small and really should not get to such high levels as these arguments...can anyone help I love her so much and dont want to loose her

I am having a really bad flare up in all my joints and i think it is being in so much pain that makes us argue, my husband has Parkinson's, and the poor man needs my help at times but he doesn't have the severe pain like I do, and i feel I would like to 'talk' to someone about it, but doctors do not have the time

Yes even i have arguements with my husband don't mean too, which hurts as i love him dearly usually happens having bad joints day or found that im tired exhausted etc. Several things come to my mind first communicate before you blow, admit having a rough day, I will do my best.Give praise on what has been achieved, even if it is i.e. getting up & dressed.look at ways how to address stituation-deep breathing.I find if you truly love someone that true love can overide i.e. arguement is not her but symptoms of the disease frustation. saying goes you always lash out on the nearest & dearest 9 out of ten knowing that they will still love you.Take time out on both sides for calm nerves& relax and dont end the day on a sour note even if it means comprise.Ending on a cheeky note I brought my husband some earplugs for my worst days.If there is a will there is way working it out but it comes from both sides not just the one, most of commnicate with one another try to not let things reach til boiling point to deal with it.you can survive! gina
